Our Principal

Sr. Manisha

Principal, Notre Dame Academy, Bangalore

Sr. Manisha loves children and flowers and she is a guardian and friend to both. It was her able hands that saw Notre Dame Academy through its birth pangs when it started seven years ago in a small convent room with three children. Those hands continue to support and guide even now as our children bring laurels and honour to the school by the cartload.

Sr. Manisha is a visionary par excellence matured through a career spanning over thirty long years as an academician. She has great dreams for her school, her children and the dizzy heights of accomplishments they will scale one day- for her, a meaningful culmination of the tireless efforts of a lifetime.

What sets Sr. Manisha apart is her way of living out what Sisters of Notre Dame stands for - to see every one as an image of God and to encourage them to bring out life in its fullest. For Sr. Manisha who has seen great Administrators, Olympians, and Technocrats budding and blossoming in her classrooms, it is a tried and tested method of nurturing talent.

The busy schedule hasn't let her limit her creativity. The stage plays written and directed by Sr. Manisha are among the things that make the Notre Dame Annual Day celebrations a class apart.

On a regular school day, you will see her sharing a lesson or two on life values with children at the morning assembly. She finds time to do what gratifies her most - to be with children, though due to pressing administrative responsibilities, she had to part with her duties as a regular teacher for English language. On a Sports Day or a Picnic Day, you will see her exuberant face among the tiny tots as one among them. If you have a chance to walk in to the school, you will see her as a warm host and a wearer of multiple hats, from her comforting motherly presence at the sick room to her highly effective mentoring of the teaching staff.

Sr. Manisha is a personification of austerity and simplicity, someone who leads by example and fuels the young minds on their journey towards greater love for God and His creatures.
